Vandy Golf Places Fourth in State

ZACHARY – The Vandebilt Catholic golf team placed fourth at the Division II
state tournament held at Beaver Creek Golf Course on Wednesday
andThursday.

Parkway won the event with a two-day total of 593, followed by Teurlings
Catholic (596), St. Michael (610) and Vandebilt (627).

Mitchell Bergeron (154) and Luke David (154) finished in a six-way tie for 12th
place and were tops among Vandebilt competitors.

Vandebilt’s Sean Brown (156) finished in a three-way tie for 19th.

Terriers Faring Well at State Golf Tournament

ZACHARY -- The Vandebilt Catholic boys’ golf team head into today’s final
day of the Division II State Golf Tournament in fourth place after shooting a
314 on Wednesday.

The tournament concludes today and is being played at Beaver Creek Golf
Course.

Mitchell Bergeron led the Terriers with a 74, tied for sixth place with
Teurlings Catholic’s Gavin Lastrapes and Kelsey Angelle and Alexandria’s
Tyler Ledet.

Vandebilts’ Luke David is tied for 12th place after shooting a 77. He is tied
with St. Michael’s Joey Saggs, Alexandria’s Ken Doggett, Zachary’s Drew
Miller, Teurlings Catholic’s Bo Boudreaux and Leesville’s James Anderson.

Parkway and Teurlings Catholic are tied for first after each shooting a 300
and St. Michael is third with a 305.

Parkway’s Cody Santone leads the tournament with a 68.

Terrier Golf Headed for State!!!!

The Vandebilt Catholic golf team won the Region III Class 4A golf tournament
held at Willowdale Country club on April 24.

The win qualifies the Terriers for the state tournament. As a team, Vandebilt
scored a 318. Morgan City was second with a 352.

Five Vandebilt golfers qualified for the state tournament, including co-district
champions Mitchell Bergeron and Sean Brown, who both scored a 76, David
Luke (80), Landon Price (86) and David Gonsoulin (91).

Vandebilt Golf Falls to Hahnville
April 18, 2009

HOUMA – Hahnville outshot Vandebilt Catholic by one stroke, 160-161, in a
tightly contested match at Ellendale Country Club on Thursday.

It was the first loss of the season for Vandebilt, while Hahnville remained
undefeated in match competition. Hahnville’s Andrew Noto (37) finished with
the top score in the match.

Vandebilt’s top finishers were Sean Brown (38), Mitch Bergeron (40), Landon
Price (41), Luke David (42), David Gonsoulin (42) and Mickey Cheramie (43).

The Terriers will defended their regional championship on Thursday at the
Willowdale Golf Course in Boutte.

Vandebilt golfers top E.D. White
April 17, 2008


THIBODAUX -- The Vandebilt Catholic boys’ golf team stopped E.D. White
Catholic 147-163 on Wednesday at Bayou Country Club.

Vandebilt Catholic’s Sean Brown shot a one-over par 35 to be named the
medalist.

George Riviere led E.D. White with a 38. Other E.D. White golfers were Jessie
Grazier (41), Andrew Walcavich (41) and Andrew Brien (43).

Vandebilt golf wins two
April 11, 2008

The Vandebilt Catholic golf team moved to 14-0 on the season by beating
Lutcher on Tuesday and St. Charles Catholic on Thursday.

Against Lutcher, Luke David shot a 2-under-34 and Mitch Bergeron and David
Gonsoulin each recorded a 39. Sean Brown shot a 41 for Vandebilt.

Against St. Charles, Bergeron led the Terriers with a 36, Brown shot a 40 and
Landon Price and Luke David each shot a 43.

VANDEBILT CATHOLIC WINS THREE-WAY MATCH
March 18, 2008

Vandebilt's Mitch Bergeron posted a 36 to lead the Terriers past Hanson
Memorial and E.D. White Catholic at the Atchafalaya Golf Course.

Vandy finished the match with a team score of 161.  Hanson was 2nd with a
team score of 186 and E.D. White scored a team score of 187.

Luke David of Vandebilt shot a 39, Sean Brown posted a 42, Mickey Cheramie
had a 43, and David Gonsoulin shot a 44.

VANDEBILT GOLF TEAM WINS

At Franklin, freshman Luke David helped the Vandebilt Catholic golf team to
victory in a four-team match Tuesday at Broken Pines Golf Course.

David was medallist with a score of 38 on the par-36 course. Sean Brown
shot 39 for the Terriers and Mitchell Bergeron shot 40. Also for Vandebilt
Landon Price shot a 44 and Mickey Cheramie shot a 45.

Vandebilt (161) defeated Morgan City (174), Berwick (184) and Hanson
Memorial (192).

Terriers golf team wins


GALLIANO – The Vandebilt Catholic boys golf team defeated South
Lafourche 160-162 on Wednesday at Tidelands Golf Course in nondistrict
action.

Mitchell Bergeron (39), Luke David (39), Sean Brown (41) and Mickey
Cheramie (41) were the top players for Vandebilt. For South Lafourche, Ryan
Dupre and Aubrey Savoie both shot 40s, and Jess Savoie and Russ Vegas
each shot a 41.

On Thursday, the Terriers topped Assumption and E.D. White Catholic at the
Bayouside Golf Course. Vandy totaled 136 to Assumption’s 164 and E.D.
White’s 186.
